Overview
What the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is
Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus brings together bright, motion-activated illumination and vigilant video security in a single hardwired fixture designed to replace your existing outdoor floodlight. Mounted above garages, driveways, or entryways, it uses a wide-angle lens to capture a broader field of view than many competing models, helping ensure fewer blind spots around the perimeter of your home. The built-in LED floodlights automatically switch on when motion is detected, deterring potential intruders while giving you a clear, well-lit picture of whatever triggered the alert, whether that's a visitor approaching the door or an animal wandering through the yard.
The camera delivers 1080p HD video with color night vision, allowing you to distinguish details—clothing color, vehicle type, or facial features—even after dark, rather than relying on grainy black-and-white footage. Two-way talk functionality lets you communicate directly with anyone on your property through the Ring app, whether you're warning off a trespasser or greeting a delivery driver, and the built-in siren can be triggered remotely to scare off unwanted visitors. Customizable motion zones and adjustable sensitivity settings help reduce false alerts from passing cars or tree branches, so notifications sent to your phone are more relevant to actual activity worth your attention.
Because this model is hardwired into your home's existing electrical wiring, it provides continuous power without the need to recharge batteries, making it a practical choice for a fixture that needs to stay on guard around the clock. It integrates smoothly with the Ring app and compatible Alexa devices, letting you view live feeds, review recorded events, and adjust settings from a smartphone or tablet. With an optional Ring Protect subscription, users can unlock video recording, storage, and sharing features, turning the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus into a central component of a broader home security setup that blends deterrence, visibility, and remote monitoring in one fixture.
